Globally recognized storage and data protection expert joins Cobalt Iron team.

Cobalt Iron, Inc., a leading provider of cloud-based data protection, announces the appointment of Greg Tevis to the role of VP of Strategy. Tevis joins the Leadership Team with 36 years of experience in storage hardware and software development and will lead new areas of the business including Cobalt Iron’s product strategy, intellectual property, and portfolio strategy. In addition, Tevis brings extensive experience in systems programming, architecture, technical support, mergers & acquisitions, and data & cloud consulting.

Prior to joining Cobalt Iron, Tevis was Storage Software Technical Strategist and Customer Solution Architect at IBM where he was responsible for leading the technical strategy for IBM’s storage software, driving portfolio technologies, roadmaps, and integrations. Greg worked extensively with IBM partners and clients worldwide designing strategic storage infrastructure, data management, and cloud strategies. As an IBM Master Inventor for over 15 years, Greg has 31 patents issued or pending.
Tevis has an MSCS in Computer Science from the University of Arizona and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.
